Refund, Cancellation & Subscription Policy.
Effective Date: October 24, 2026 • Last Updated: October 24, 2026. Official statutory and contractual rules governing purchases of SkillForge courses, certificate evaluations, SaaS subscriptions, and custom engineering engagements from WayFonix.
This Refund, Cancellation & Subscription Policy ("Policy") is issued by MD Zahid, trading as WayFonix, under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
1. Scope and Applicability
This Refund, Cancellation & Subscription Policy ("Policy") applies to purchases from WayFonix (operated by MD Zahid, trading as WayFonix) of SkillForge courses and training cohorts, SkillForge certificate evaluation and issuance, Vleo and FixPulse paid subscriptions, and custom software-development services. Read it together with our Terms of Service, the Privacy, Data Protection & Cookie Policy, the order form shown at checkout, and any signed Statement of Work ("SOW").
The price and the service it covers are shown before payment, and by paying, the Customer or Learner accepts the rules below. If a signed SOW sets different refund, cancellation or milestone terms for a custom project, the SOW governs to the extent of that specific conflict.
2. SkillForge Courses and Training Cohorts
2.1 48-Hour Refund Window
A Learner may request a refund within 48 hours of successful payment, by emailing support@wayfonix.com, provided all of the following conditions are satisfied:
- The Learner has not accessed more than 10% of the digital course content, as demonstrated by platform access records;
- The Learner has not downloaded proprietary course materials, project assets, source templates, or restricted engineering resources;
- The Learner has not attended a live cohort orientation or commenced a substantive project evaluation; and
- The Learner has not used any part of the service that the offer page stated, before purchase, starts the non-refundable portion.
Where all refund eligibility conditions are satisfied, WayFonix will refund the amount paid without an administrative deduction, subject to applicable law. No deduction will apply where a full refund is required by law, including for duplicate or failed payments or services not delivered.
2.2 After the Window or After Substantial Access
Once the 48-hour window has passed, or the Learner has exceeded the access limits above, the course fee is ordinarily non-refundable for a change of mind, loss of interest, failure to complete coursework, or unused access. This does not take away a refund or statutory remedy the Learner is entitled to by law, such as where the course was materially misdescribed, was not delivered as promised, or was fundamentally defective.
2.3 Cancellation by WayFonix
If WayFonix cancels a course or training cohort and does not deliver the service or an alternative that the Learner expressly accepts, WayFonix refunds the amount paid for the undelivered part, or provides the remedy that applicable law requires. Prior access to preparatory materials does not affect that right.
3. SkillForge Certificate Evaluation and Issuance Fees
3.1 Nature and Scope of the Fee
A completion certificate is completely optional. The administrative fee, disclosed prior to checkout, covers manual project or assessment review, identity verification, digital credential processing, certificate issuance, and hosting of the digital credential on our verification ledger during the active operational lifecycle of the platform. It is separate from any course or enrollment fee unless the specific offer explicitly bundles them. Purchasing a certificate does not improve, influence, or guarantee selection for Phase 2 of the Two-Phase Training-cum-Internship Program.
3.2 Cancellation Before Evaluation Commences
If the Learner cancels before substantive evaluation begins and before the digital credential is generated, WayFonix will refund the amount paid without an administrative deduction, subject to applicable law.
3.3 After Evaluation Commences or Certificate is Issued
Once substantive evaluation review has started or the digital certificate has been generated or issued, the fee is non-refundable for a change of mind, a failure to achieve the published passing score, or a personal decision not to use the credential. The same applies where the Learner fails to submit required project files, fails to attend a mandatory assessment, breaches academic integrity rules, or fails to qualify after permitted attempts. In those cases, no certificate is guaranteed.
If WayFonix did not perform the evaluation or issuance as promised, or an administrative error attributable to WayFonix prevented delivery, WayFonix will correct it, re-assess, replace the certificate, or refund the fee, as the circumstances require.
4. Vleo and FixPulse Subscriptions
4.1 Current Status: Free Commercial Tier
Vleo and FixPulse are currently provided to customers free of charge during early platform access. This section applies from the date WayFonix launches a commercial paid tier for either product and informs the Customer prior to checkout.
4.2 Commercial Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis as selected by the Customer at checkout. Pricing, billing cycle, subscription term, user-seat and storage limits, renewal terms, and any applicable usage overage charges are transparently disclosed before purchase. Recurring subscriptions adhere strictly to RBI e-mandate authentication (AFA) and statutory pre-debit notification regulations.
4.3 How to Cancel a Subscription
A Customer may cancel a paid subscription at any time through any of the following self-service or direct methods:
- Clicking "Cancel Subscription" in the Billing section of the Vleo or FixPulse account dashboard;
- Emailing support@wayfonix.com from the registered account email address; or
- Revoking the recurring e-mandate or UPI Autopay authorization directly inside the Customer's banking, card-issuer, or UPI application.
There is no minimum notice lock-in. A cancellation request received before a renewal invoice is charged stops future renewals. We recommend initiating cancellation at least 48 hours prior to the renewal date to avoid payment gateway transit delays, but any request received prior to billing is honored without delay. Revoking an e-mandate and requesting account cancellation are distinct steps; Customers are requested to notify WayFonix upon mandate revocation. WayFonix confirms each cancellation electronically via email and dashboard status.
4.4 Effect of Cancellation
Unless applicable law or an executed commercial agreement explicitly provides otherwise:
- Cancellation stops all future scheduled renewals from the date it takes effect;
- Paid access remains active until the expiration of the current billing cycle already paid for;
- There is no pro-rata refund for unused days in a billing period already settled, and no refund merely because the Customer discontinues usage early; and
- If a renewal is charged because WayFonix failed to process a timely cancellation notice, WayFonix will promptly refund it in full.
This does not waive statutory refunds mandated by law, including for unauthorized debit errors, service non-delivery, or verified billing discrepancies. Following cancellation, data export and retention follow our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
4.5 Usage Limits and Overage Charges
Cloud storage, API transactions, user seats, and notification limits, along with prevailing overage rates, are published before checkout. WayFonix invoices overage or transitions a Customer to a higher tier only as permitted by disclosed terms, following prior electronic notice and statutory mandate authorizations. No undisclosed overage charge or unapproved paid tier upgrade is ever applied.
5. Custom Software Projects and Milestone Payments
5.1 Payment Architecture and Mobilisation Deposit
Custom software engineering, web application architecture, mobile development, and enterprise consulting are governed by their respective proposal, Statement of Work ("SOW"), or signed Master Services Agreement. Unless the SOW explicitly specifies an alternative schedule, WayFonix requires an initial mobilisation deposit of 30% of the project fee before engineering commences, with remaining balances disbursed against agreed milestones.
The mobilisation deposit secures dedicated engineering resources and funds upfront architectural planning, repository configuration, cloud staging setup, and technical specifications. It is credited against the total project fee and is not automatically forfeited merely because work commenced. Its treatment upon cancellation is governed by Section 5.2.
5.2 Termination by the Customer for Convenience
If the Customer terminates a project for convenience prior to completion, the Customer remains responsible for:
- Milestone payments completed and accepted under the SOW;
- The reasonable, documented value of engineering labor performed on any unfinished milestone up to the effective termination date (including initial architecture work covered by the deposit), calculated at agreed milestone or pro-rata rates;
- Non-cancellable third-party costs reasonably committed or incurred on the Customer's behalf (where the SOW assigns them to the Customer); and
- Any other specific cancellation fee stipulated in the executed SOW, to the extent permitted by law.
WayFonix applies the deposit and any funds paid to date against amounts properly due, and issues a written reconciliation statement. WayFonix refunds any excess balance within the timeline in Section 6.3, and the Customer pays any remaining shortfall under the agreed SOW terms.
5.3 Termination Due to Material Failure by WayFonix
If a project is terminated because WayFonix materially fails to deliver contracted engineering services, the SOW and applicable Indian contract law govern both parties' remedies. WayFonix does not retain funds for undelivered services where a refund or restitution is legally due.
5.4 Third-Party Costs and Subscriptions
Third-party cloud infrastructure (such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure / AWS), domain registrations, SSL certificates, SMS/WhatsApp gateways, and commercial software licenses are subject to their respective third-party providers' billing and cancellation terms. They are Customer expenses unless expressly bundled in the SOW, and refunds thereon depend strictly on the third-party provider's policy.
6. Duplicate Debits, Failed Transactions, and Refund Processing
6.1 Duplicate Debits
If a Customer or Learner is debited more than once for a single order or service, WayFonix promptly audits transaction logs with PhonePe Payment Gateway, the payment aggregator, or issuing bank. Once the duplicate charge is verified, the duplicate amount is refunded in full to the source account without any administrative deduction.
6.2 Failed Transactions & Payment Reversals
Where funds are debited from the Customer's bank or card account but the corresponding order or platform access is not generated due to network disruption or gateway timeout, WayFonix investigates the gateway status. Auto-reversals and refund disbursements are processed in accordance with mandatory Reserve Bank of India (RBI) payment-system timelines (such as circulars governing failed transaction auto-reversal SLAs). Where statutory rules mandate specific reversal windows, those statutory timelines strictly control.
6.3 Approved Discretionary or Commercial Refunds
For approved refunds not governed by mandatory automated reversal deadlines, WayFonix initiates the refund within 7 business days of formal approval, subject to payment-aggregator settlement timelines. Funds are credited back to the original source payment method (bank account, credit/debit card, or UPI VPA) unless statutory rules require otherwise. The actual arrival of funds depends on the Customer's issuing bank, card network, or UPI infrastructure.
6.4 Necessary Details for Refund Processing
To ensure rapid verification and prevent misrouted refunds, Users requesting assistance should transmit the following details to support@wayfonix.com:
- Registered account email address and full name;
- Service, course, or subscription purchased;
- Transaction date and exact amount charged;
- PhonePe payment transaction reference or order ID; and
- A clear description of the discrepancy or cancellation reason.
SECURITY REMINDER: WayFonix will never ask for your passwords, UPI PINs, ATM PINs, OTPs, or CVV numbers. Never transmit confidential credentials over email.
7. Requests, Complaints, and Contact Details
7.1 Submission Channels and Grievance Officer
Send general refund, billing inquiries, and cancellation notices directly to support@wayfonix.com. If a request is unresolved or disputed, it may be escalated to the designated Statutory Grievance Officer:
| Contact Category | Official Record |
|---|---|
| Customer Support | support@wayfonix.com |
| Grievance Officer | MD Zahid |
| Grievance Email | grievance@wayfonix.com |
| Registered Business Address | IJAN, Nakhas, Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, India |

7.2 Statutory Timelines & SLAs
In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, WayFonix acknowledges each refund or billing complaint within 48 hours with a unique ticket tracking identifier and resolves it within 30 calendar days of receipt (and sooner where possible). This matches the SLA standard across our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Statutory reversal deadlines control where shorter mandatory windows apply.
7.3 Statutory Dispute Remedies Preserved
Users are asked to contact WayFonix first so billing and refund concerns can be investigated and rectified directly. This is a request, not a mandatory legal prerequisite. Nothing in this Policy restricts or conditions any consumer from seeking statutory remedies before a Consumer Commission, banking ombudsman, Reserve Bank of India dispute forum, card network chargeback mechanism, or competent court of law.
8. General Conditions and Legal Rights
8.1 Mandatory Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts, or limits any right, refund, remedy, or statutory compensation that the laws of the Republic of India do not permit to be excluded or limited. Where a mandatory statutory refund, reversal, replacement, or correction rule applies, it strictly takes precedence over any conflicting term herein.
8.2 Fraud Prevention and Investigation
WayFonix reserves the right to review refund requests where credible evidence demonstrates fraudulent activity, double reimbursements, deceptive claims, or attempts to obtain multiple refunds for a single settled transaction. Any determination to decline a refund or restrict account access is made based on factual records, the governing contract, and applicable law. A good-faith payment dispute, genuine quality grievance, or invocation of statutory consumer rights is never treated as misconduct.
8.3 Policy Updates & Historical Transactions
WayFonix may periodically revise this Policy to reflect operational evolutions, software releases, or statutory updates. When amendments occur, the "Last Updated" date will be revised accordingly. Policy revisions do not retroactively extinguish rights accrued under transactions entered into prior to the amendment date. Where advance notice or explicit re-consent is mandated by law, WayFonix will comply with all statutory notice procedures.
